My
name is Mark Magram, and I’ve been writing songs as a hobby for over 20 years, and over
the past few years I have entered the wonderful and unique world of
digital music composition and production. Believe it or not, I am a career computer programmer and software
engineer but music is and has always been my true passion.
Combining my unique combination of computer
skills with my innate musical ability has yielded
some very exciting results and many hours of pure personal enjoyment
and fulfillment. Music has been a lifelong passion of mine and to me
there is no greater joy than composing an original idea. It is
something I have been doing since I was a small child. Although I've played piano/keyboards for most of this time, in these recent
years I have expanded my instrumentation and added electric and
acoustic guitar and bass to my collection and my playing repertoire. I
have also amassed a large number of software add-on modules that afford
me a tremendous wealth of rich sound options to fit any genre, mood or
occasion.
Go ahead and listen to some examples of my work. The "Releases"
page is where I post all of the new compositions that I have made in my
studio. Here you can get a good sense of the sheer variety, uniqueness,
and quality of my work. They span genres as
far reaching as R&B, Funk, Rock, Soul, Blues, Jazz, Reggae and
Country. The "Misc. Songs" page contains songs that
I have written for each of my children and step-children. These songs
were composed early in my production career and will serve as life-long
keepsakes for my children. In addition, this page
contains various miscellaneous compositions, some finished, some
unfinished, some early recordings with my kids. This is sort of a
scrapbook of musical ideas. Finally the "Contacts"
